POSITION:  Temporary Administrative Clerk
   (Personal Services Agreement Limited) – Only for a maximum of 30 working days.

OPENING DATE: April 2, 2007 

CLOSING DATE: Until filled

WORK HOURS: Maximum of 40 hours/week  HOURLY RATE: ETB 10.90 per hour (no other benefits will be paid)

NOTE:  ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.

The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa is seeking candidates for a maximum of 30 days employment in country for the position of Temporary Administrative Clerk.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The incumbent will provide clerical and secretarial services including making/receiving telephone calls, typing, data entry, filing and other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

NOTE:  All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

1. Required Education: High school diploma is required. 
2. Required Prior Experience: Minimum of three months clerical experience is required. 
3. Language Requirement: Level 3 (good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading English and Amharic is required.   
4. Other Skills: Good working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Good working knowledge and experience in using standard office equipment such as copy machines, fax machines, typewriters, computers; and office filing procedures is required. 
5. Interpersonal Skill Requirements:  Must demonstrate cooperative working relationship with subordinates and other staff.
