The U.S. Mission Addis Ababa is seeking an individual for the position of Administrative Management Assistant in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office in Ethiopia.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Under the direct supervision of CDC/Ethiopia Associate Director for Operations the incumbent serves as Administrative Manager for CDC-Ethiopia Office with responsibility for managing and coordinating administrative activities such as human resource management, budgeting of indirect cost for office operations, staff travel, transportation service, office reception and communication, property/supply management, and also responsible to liaison office security matters.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Required Education: A degree in Management/ Business Administration is required.
2. Required Prior Experience: Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in administration of which two are at supervisory position is required.
3. Language Requirement: Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading English is required.
4. Other Skills: Good working knowledge of advanced administrative procedures, Human Resource, property management, budgeting, Transport, Travel arrangement, and other administrative issues, required. Good working knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, paragraphing and spelling and must be able to type 40 words per minute.
5. Interpersonal Skill Requirements: Must demonstrate cooperative working relationships with subordinates, staff and other project-associated persons and agencies.
SELECTION PROCESS

1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
4. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
