Programs and Funding

In 2005, PRM provided over $52 million for refugee programming and protection in the Horn of Africa.  Ongoing programmatic priorities include:

• Assisting the repatriation and reintegration of southern Sudanese returning from Ethiopia and Kenya, Eritrean refugees returning from the Sudan, and Somali refugees returning from Ethiopia and Djibouti.
  
  
• Providing refugees in camps in northeast and northwest Kenya with education, healthcare, skills training, water, and sanitation.
  
  
• Funding of various NGO projects benefiting Somali, Sudanese and Eritrean refugees residing in Ethiopia.
