Humanitarian Situation in the Horn of Africa: Briefing at the Foreign Press Center in Washington D.C. with U.S. Government Officials

We are here to talk today about the very severe drought and resulting impacts on the Horn of Africa.  We, I think, are all looking with great concern with what is the worst rainfall in 60 years that’s affecting a swath of Djibouti, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Somalia.  This is – we are much more prepared to meet these kinds of droughts than we have been in the past.  (Full Text)
