New U.S. Citizen Services Hours

To all American Citizens in Ethiopia:   In order to provide better, more prompt service, the Consular Section has revised the days/hours when American Citizen Services (ACS) will be available.  Effective November 1, 2007, the ACS hours will be as follows:

Notarials, Authentications, True Copy	Mon thru Thur 8-11:30
Passport Renewals	Mon thru Thur 1-3:30
1st Passport Applications	Tues & Thur  1-3:30
Consular Reports of Birth Abroad	Tues & Thur  1-3:30
New visa pages in your passport	Mon thru Thur 8-11:30 & 1-3:30
US Citizen Registration	Mon thru Thur 8-11:30 & 1-3:30
All other services	Mon thru Thur 8-11:30 & 1-3:30
Emergency Services	Monday thru Fri 8-11:30 & 1-3:30 (except Fridays)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

American citizens requiring urgent or emergency services should call the Consular Section to arrange a time to come by for service.  During business hours, the Consular Section can be reached at 011-124-2424.  After hours or on weekends and holidays, call the Embassy Operator at 011-517-4000 extension 0.  Ask the operator to connect you with the Duty Officer.
